The Collard family settled in Bouzy in 1919 through the marriage of Lucien Collard – grandfather of the current owner of the Maison – and Julia Bara. He then directed, following his father, one of the great Champagne vineyards. She came from a family of winemakers established in this Grand Cru since 1833.

From this union was born a true family tradition, as each generation has been committed to continuing the exploitation of the Bouzy estate while managing the vineyards of prestigious Champagne Houses.

With the primary goal of wine quality, Lucien Collard began in 2005 to build up a stock, with the first vintages, intended for long aging, starting to be marketed in 2015.

Following with keen interest the brilliant and diverse career of his goddaughter, Auriane Denis, he offered her to join the Champagne Lucien Collard adventure in 2015, where they are now writing its chapters together!
